Running along the Dreisam river is a great option – especially through the city, it's an easy and pleasant route. The path on the north side is recommended for running, while the FR1 cycle path on the south bank is very busy with cyclists and the asphalt surface isn't particularly runner-friendly anyway.

The Dreisamstadion is a football stadium in the Baden-Württemberg city of Freiburg im Breisgau. The sports facility is owned by the city and is located in the eastern district of Waldsee on Schwarzwaldstraße, directly on the Dreisam River. The first men's team of SC Freiburg played its home games here from September 1955 to September 2021, and since October 7, 2021, these games have been played in the newly built Europa-Park Stadium.
