The bakehouse on Ziegelweg has been in use for over 120 years, while the bakehouse in the Old Town Hall dates back to the 17th century. Since then, the bakehouses have been available to every family – and that's how it should remain. The ovens are used by housewives, clubs, and sometimes even the school. Every year on the first weekend in May, there's the so-called Bakehouse Festival – also known as the May Day celebration around the bakehouse. There, you can enjoy, among other things, delicious fresh wood-fired bread and onion tart.

The Protestant St. George's Church was completely rebuilt in 1626, in the midst of the Thirty Years' War. The tower is built on the remains of an older, predecessor tower. The memorial stone made of yellow sandstone above the south portal commemorates the church's reconstruction at that time. The interior was decorated with murals, which were painted over in 1887.

A fountain is located right next to St. George's Church in the center of Rotfelden. There is a bench under a tree right next to it.

St. George's Evangelical Church is a late Gothic hall church dating from the 17th century. The present St. George's Church was built in 1626 during the Thirty Years' War by the ducal Württemberg architect Friedrich Vischlin, following a transverse church design with the pews oriented towards the pulpit on the north wall. The church tower stands on the remains of an earlier building, which is not precisely dated (11th to 15th centuries) but may have belonged to a pilgrimage church.

A beautiful, well-used bakehouse. Today's onion berries, enjoyed after our hike, were prepared here by diligent hands.
