On the Aidlinger Weg, north of the town center, stands the Friedenslinde – a distinctive tree and registered natural monument. The linden tree was planted on March 6, 1871, by Gärtringen citizens in memory of the peace treaty of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71.
