On the ridge, you will find climbing sections of grade 2 in the area of falls. It is best to go from north to south, then you will have the most difficult climbing sections on the way up.

We didn't stop in, don't like to reserve a table on a tour, usually need a refreshment before 12 o'clock and the final straw today was the fact that the playground is gone. Who saw the crime scene on August 18th, or the 15 minutes of "disturbing children" before that... In my opinion, not a good concept here - I'll take my snack with me and go somewhere else with my 5 grandchildren. What a pity!!

Smaller, quieter and more rustic than the bustling alpine pasture at the foot of the Karwendel Mountains. A detour is worthwhile.

Beautiful small waterfall created by the Hammerbach spring.

“The limestone Alps are sometimes as full of holes as cheese. If these openings or cracks are connected to each other and reach the surface of the mountains, then the rainwater can seep from the highest peaks to the groundwater in the valleys. And if such underground streams emerge from the mountain above the groundwater level, then you have a typical spring. The Hammerbach spring pours out an average of over 200 liters per second per year, which flow into the Prien after a few hundred meters. This spring has always reliably supplied water energy, which was used to produce iron wire.” Source: www.aschau.de
