Where the cycle path now runs, there used to be a pit from the 'Heye Südfeld' opencast mine. Extensively renovated and renaturalized from 2006 to 2008.

New bike path in Annahütte through a small part of the former Heye Südfeld opencast mine. Small memorial stone and a beautiful view of the Annahütte glassmaking settlement. The floating house on Lichterfelder See is a successful example of green architecture today. The solar cells integrated in the glass facade and the successful green roof are just two examples of this. Immediately from the floating house you have an impressive view of the F60 and the Lichterfelder See. The nearby beach is also within walking distance.
