Since the area is covered, the artworks are well protected from the weather. The walls are huge and offer space for elaborate, large-format lettering and characters.

After a short detour through the city center (lots of shopping, the town hall, and the Christmas market), I headed to my actual destinations. In spring and summer, the viewpoints at the vineyard and the "Schöne Aussicht" (Beautiful View) must be wonderful places to linger. I can already picture myself sitting there with a delicious pizza, enjoying the view of the surrounding greenery. A stroll through the Karlsaue park will take you past the Orangerie 🍊 and the flower island of Siebenbergen (note the opening hours!): https://www.kassel.de/buerger/kunst_und_kultur/parks_und_gaerten/staatspark-karlsaue.php While you're there, be sure to visit the beautiful Fuldaaue nature reserve, where in summer ☀️ nature invites you to swim 🩳 and relax: https://www.kassel.de/buerger/kunst_und_kultur/parks_und_gaerten/buga-see.php My tip for a delicious slice of cake: Brotgarten, Treppenstraße 2, 34117 Kassel (it's on the way). ... The best thing would be to tear it down and build a bridge similar to the one at the Neue Mühle. Then you can cycle directly across.

This bridge is not a covered wooden bridge. It was probably confused with the bridge south of Bergshausen. That one is truly beautiful.
