For those not too lazy to walk, we recommend getting off at Rigi-Kaltbad and walking up the railway line to Rigi-Kulm. A hike via Schwändi, Tris, Riedboden, Klösterle, and First will bring you back to Kaltbad. This way, you can discover the mountain and the railway as both a passenger and a hiker.

The valley station of the Rigi Railway is just a few minutes' walk from Arth-Goldau (train station). From here, the Rigi Railway climbs the steep route to Rigi Kulm. At the Kräbel intermediate station (approximately 10 minutes from Goldau), you can transfer to the Kräbel-Rigi Scheidegg cable car. The Rigi Railway winds its way through forests and tunnels, across expansive meadows, and past steep waterfalls all the way to the summit of Rigi Kulm. The train ride offers repeated views of the vast Central Plateau and Lake Zug.

The panoramic trail is very easy to walk, although it's also graveled for a long stretch... not always easy with a stroller 😂 You can also take several paths parallel to the main trail, but these are, of course, only intended for hiking and are not wheelchair accessible. For example, the Felsenweg offers beautiful views of Lake Lucerne 👍
