You can cycle right up to the top of the dike here and see all the way across the Wadden Sea. It's teeming with sheep, and you constantly have to pass through gates.

That's a different Wierum than this Rogier 🙂. This is the Wierumerschouw at the Groningen Wierum.

The church is no longer used as a religious building and its interior is largely empty. However, there is a good flyer about Winsum (also in German) explaining the town's attractions.

Lunch restaurant Delicious products, all local or from our own garden!! Recommended!! The church of Klein Wetsinge is located between Sauwerd and Winsum, with a beautiful view of the Reitdiep area. Visitors are welcomed by owner Mirte Tersteeg. The church from 1840 was restored to its former glory in 2014 and can now be rented for meetings, lectures, concerts and receptions. And dinners and cooking workshops are also excellent options. You can get acquainted with all the good things that the Wadden Sea and surrounding area have to offer in terms of culinary delights.
