For a city trail, it's quite nice in parts, but nothing more. A few built-in mini-features (see photos), otherwise it's a tricky, rooty horizontal path. High uphill portion, so good for the pump. The black trail isn't particularly tricky technically either (in alpine biking areas, it's rated red at best). The entire route can be viewed on Trailforks. These trails are an example of how the more technically demanding variants of MTB sport in southern Sweden seem to lead a niche existence - at least in terms of official routes.

Very nice cabin in the middle of nature! That's why there are hiking trails through the moor. There is a parking and camping area, as well as the cabin. There are four beds in two rooms, where you can stay overnight for free at any time. You should bring your own bedding/sleeping bag, the sheets are not clean. No water or electricity, but there is a small stove with firewood and an outhouse. The nature reserve and the cabin are worth a visit, highly recommended!

Walking around Gryter Lake is worthwhile! You always have a beautiful view of the water. There are also a few places to have a barbecue. The partially boggy landscape is also attractive. We even saw black grouse. The paths are well signposted, but narrow and sometimes rocky or slippery. You should definitely wear waterproof shoes, because the water levels in the moor areas are sometimes above ground level. Otherwise, it is not a strenuous hike, and there is always cooling water nearby.

Here there is a preserved working environment with a manor house from the 18th century, a working church and a working museum. Iron handling at Breven's mill has been closed since the mid-1980s, but the mill environment remains and is largely untouched.

The lake and the hike are really great. Unfortunately, it rained a lot in August 2023 and most of the boardwalks are under water. We had to walk the last part on the gravel road with wet feet. But it was still a nice result.

Shelter in the nature reserve Kärnskogsmossen with a fantastic view over the moor. 2x twin rooms are available for overnight stays. There is an oven for heating. In the immediate vicinity there is a barbecue area and a toilet. Open all year.

This hiking trail is the most beautiful we have ever walked. The lake is idyllically situated in the middle of a nature reserve. The forest is magical. The somewhat arduous journey over kilometers of gravel roads is definitely worth it. The circular route around the lake is a good 5km and you should plan around 1.5 to 2 hours if you want to enjoy nature. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes and long pants, because the narrow path is overgrown in large parts from knee to hip height. You should be sure-footed, because it goes over hill and dale and also a few meters up and down again. Enjoy your time.
