A picturesque and easy hike starting at Stenegård! This loop trail takes you along the tranquil Ljusnan river, through charming villages and farmland, and then changes scenery as you head into the forest for the return. On the final stretch, you'll pass through a beautiful old-growth forest, also used as a nature school area, just near Stenegård. The trail is clearly marked with blue paint on trees and numerous signposts at road and trail crossings. However, signage right at Stenegård is currently minimal. If hiking counterclockwise, the first clear sign appears where the trail meets a gravel road at Sannahia near Ljusnan, below Stenegård's big parking lot. If you prefer hiking clockwise, look for the first sign right behind Café Järvsö Klämman at Stenegård.

Wind protection for anglers. There is also space for a small tent. Great view. Huge logging trucks roar along the gravel road from 5 a.m. onwards, otherwise it is wonderfully quiet on a picture-perfect lake.

In the meantime, the old hut has been replaced by a new one and is located a little higher up on the rocky plateau. The view has remained spectacular. 🥴 Simply a great place.

In the film "Verblendung" (based on the book by Stieg Larsson - in English "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") the scene with the accident on the old bridge of Segersta was filmed.

A hut at this height with this gigantic view is really rare for Sweden. You can get to the hut and thus to the summit from the west via a 3 km less steep path, which is then also suitable for children. The night up there was great
