Nice asphalt for accelerating next to the water tower.

The whole thing doesn't have much to do with Schwalm or Nette. The closest river is the Niers and this is also a little far away. This is the Salbruch nature reserve, where there are storks and a lot of other birds.

The Salbruch nature reserve is located in the area of the towns of Tönisvorst, Viersen and Willich in the Viersen district in North Rhine-Westphalia. The approximately 327.35 hectare area, which was declared a nature reserve in 1990, extends north-east of the main town of Viersen. The L 39 state road and the A 61 run to the west, and the L 29 runs to the south. The Niers flows through the area from southeast to northwest. The protection is in place to preserve communities or habitats of certain wild plant and animal species for scientific reasons due to the rarity, special character or outstanding beauty of the area, to preserve and develop the Niers valley area as a broad, flat lowland area including the terrace edges and to preserve the large grassland areas with high natural potential, crossed by ditches and the embanked Niers. In the area, the straightened Niers offers an exciting contrast to the natural standing waters and the surrounding grassland structured by trees. A beautiful floodplain landscape in which Master Adebar and his family also feel at home. Here you can often observe the nests and offspring.

Part of the path runs just a few meters from the A52 - there is no relaxation there.
