13km of beautiful railway embankment on a firm forest path. It's an idyllic ride through the region. There are what feels like 10 "strategic railway embankment" highlights along the 13km route. This area could really use some tidying up...

Along the "Strategic Railway Embankment" there are large rectangular granite blocks at seven locations. It is a Euroga 2002 plus project.

The part from about the height of Gohr is very easy to drive, the route up to Rommerskirchen has been well paved. I knew the railway embankment from Hombroich, where it was very roughly graveled last year. But I absolutely recommend it!
