The church was built approximately from 1711 to 1712. Inside the church, at the apex of the arch, the two coats of arms of the Werdenstein and Freyberg families with the year 1712 can be seen, framed by grapevines. Many frescoes tell the life story of the church patrons St. Cosmas and Damian.

Beautiful view over the fields to Stetten and Achstetten. Erbach Castle is also clearly visible. From here the path runs along the Westernach towards Achstetten. A good opportunity to observe deer and storks.
