Gut Kirchhof in Altrich, originally an archiepiscopal estate of the Diocese of Trier, was donated to the diocese by King Dagobert I in 636 AD. It served as the center of the so-called Lieserfiskus possessions. In the Middle Ages, the high court for surrounding communities such as Altrich, Flußbach and Wittlich met here. The parish church of the parish of Altrich was also located on the estate until the current church was built in the village in 1873. Gut Kirchhof has been owned by the Merrem family since 1806 and is run as an agricultural business. Today, the site is also home to the Eifel animal shelter Altrich, which takes care of the placement and care of animals. Go directly to Gut Kirchhof here https://www.merrem.de
