Located right at the gateway to the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, the "Signal Box Man|Nature|Technology" presents the unique interplay of people, nature, and technology at the Binger Loch. In the rooms of the former Bingerbrück East (Bot) railway signal box, this unique interaction is made tangible and experiential for all ages in a multimedia and interactive exhibition. Beyond its function as an information point, the signal box is a place for encounters and communication between diverse social groups. Since 2009, it has hosted a wide variety of events organized by its partners: the Bingerbrück Local History Association, the NABU Rhine Floodplain Nature Conservation Center, and the Bingen City Administration. The elongated ridge of the Rochusberg, which also includes the Scharlachkopf, dominates the townscape of Bingen and offers striking vantage points. I wish I'd brought my binoculars...
