As of 05/2026: After almost 20 years, the fallen giant trees, which a few years ago still had to be climbed over and down, have almost completely decomposed, so that the bridges and walkways as well as plank paths have now been removed and only muddy sections over tree stumps have to be mastered.

A grain mill in the "Uhler Bann" (Uhler Bann). Josef Lippert's house on Jugendheimstraße. The vacant house was "taken over" by Josef. After his death, it was demolished. Junker, the first miller in the Junker family, built the grain mill, which is still owned by the family today. In 1913, the mill was equipped with a diesel engine in addition to its water power, making the grinding mechanism less dependent on the seasonal fluctuations in the Deimerbach stream. In 1928, a new wheat and rye mill was built next to the old house, powered by a water turbine to replace the old water wheel and diesel engine. After the renovation, the Junkers Mill was one of the largest mills in the Anterior Hunsrück region. After the cooperative mills gradually ceased operations, the customer base extended from Kastellaun and the surrounding villages (Uhler, Mörz, Buch, Mannebach, Sabershausen, Zilshausen) to Lahr and Lieg. Until the mill's closure in 1958, the flour was collected from the farmers and then returned. In addition to the old mill building, which still remains in its original condition, the newer mill from 1928 was converted into a modern residential building, in which the Junker family now operates a guesthouse and excursion café.
