A beautifully designed place for a short rest to recharge your batteries: From here it goes uphill in all directions.

Pity about the good spruce.

The thickest and oldest spruce tree in Gmeindewald Wied stood here until 2022. It was almost 160 years old, but unfortunately it also fell victim to drought and the bark beetle. A pity. The rootstock is preserved and a plaque provides information about the history of the spruce. Nicely done! If you drive down the Wiedtalweg, you won't see this place because it's about 10 meters away. to the right/left on the branch up.
