Tips from the Community

December 24, 2025, Alter Mühlsteinbruch bei Gersdorf

We had only intended to take a shortcut to the Gersdorf ruins, but suddenly we found ourselves at the quarry. The path is good and safe, but you can also go directly into the quarry. There seems to have been a circular trail there at one time; you can still see square signs on the trees. If you're coming from Jagdstein, there's a signpost at the junction (Mühlsteinbruch Circular Trail). We found the path at the Mühlsteinbruch much more enjoyable than the marked hiking trail.

A narrow path leads to this mushroom-like rock formation. Nature creates the most beautiful structures.

A very beautiful and historic hiking trail, old sleepers and railway tracks are still partly visible.
