The Stockenstieg path was created after the lighthouse was built in 1906/07. The building materials used were particularly hard-fired clay bricks and wooden bridges over the gullies, which still stand today. The path is a one-way street from the lighthouse back to the dike and is only accessible from June 1 to September 30.

We've been there several times on several vacations. The food is excellent and the restaurant is in a very quiet location. As with many SPO restaurants, the cake deserves special mention.
