In 1949, a second school wing for particularly gifted students and a gymnasium were added to the previous elementary school in Satrup. Today the "Rainbow School" Satrup is here.

Playing in the forest, watching animals, building dams, singing, dreaming and romping outside all day to your heart's content. All this can be experienced by children in the natural kindergarten Satrup. Developed in 1997 from a parents 'initiative, the parents' association Naturkindergarten Satrup e.V. is now the sponsor of this special kindergarten. But it's about more: here the children learn and explore nature, in every season and in every weather. They learn playfully the respectful handling of flora and fauna. Waste prevention, animal and plant protection, mindfulness, respectful handling of everything that creeps and flees here. In our fast-paced world, where many children and adolescents often have no relationship whatsoever with nature and wildlife, I think it's a very important thing. Impressed me the great reports on the activities and projects on the bottom dates / reports. Just read. It is worth it .. At the side of the road, I found a self-designed sign, which draws attention to a small "fitness path". The natural kindergarten Satrup - how I find a great idea and initiative.
