Nestled in the heart of the forest, Thoronet Abbey is one of the most remarkable examples of Cistercian architecture in Provence. Its simple lines, light-colored stone, and unique acoustics create a soothing, almost timeless atmosphere. A haven for both culture and contemplation, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast.

Wonderful to look at in the sunlight. Not pompous, but rather practical and imposing. Unfortunately, not open to the public.

Really lovely ride with a bit of everything! You have the lake, which has a nice restaurant open during the season, a nice climb out of Carces up to the abbey and then a loop back behind the lake to Carces through stunning undulating Provençal countryside with vineyards and olive groves at every turn

The medieval village of Tourtour is located 27 km north-west of Draguignan in the Var department. Tourtour is a very picturesque and beautifully preserved village, which is also included in the list of the most beautiful villages in France. Tourtour is now a popular holiday resort, and unfortunately also a holiday resort that is almost deserted outside of the season. However, the village is definitely worth a visit, especially because of its beautiful location.

The characterful village of Ampus is revealed at an altitude of 600 metres in the foothills of the Verdon - and the Provençal soul is revealed. It invites you to take a stroll along the water path and then the Stations of the Cross before taking a break in one of the village squares.
