Hiking
The Mariensteig Trail is a varied, nature-oriented path with beautiful forest sections and frequent short glimpses of stunning views. The trail has a pleasantly "trail-like" feel and adds just the right amount of adventure to the hike. Ideal if you prefer narrow paths to wide trails.

Hiking
The Marienstig is the most direct ascent to get to the Speckbacher hut. About 2/3 of the distance it is very steep but pleasant to walk, because the needle bottom has a strong damping effect on the feet. The path especially the top third is like a fairy tale forest. Beautiful climb that is really relaxing. Not too exhausting!

Hiking
For all mountain bikers among us here I just wanted to announce that the Marienstig is an incredibly groovy trail. It is by no means to be underestimated because it is really steep and narrow and covered with many roots and stones. In addition, some places are quite confusing and the Marienstig is a challenge even for advanced bikers!
