Hiking

The Silberkaule mine, located on the Heckberg, was already mining lead and silver in the 13th century. The industrial enterprise started in 1868 was discontinued in 1892 because of an impoverishment of the ore mine.

Hiking

You can walk around it, but you shouldn't go inside. The paths around it are a bit muddy at the moment.

Hiking

The Silberkaule mine was opened by a tunnel, the three shafts of Mals, Baur and Carl Paula, which had a total depth of 206 meters, and five civil engineering foundations with a total of 3700 meters of track and a mining height of 180 meters. The length of the aisle, which was worthy of construction, was a maximum of 340 meters and decreased to the deepest level over a length of 40 meters.
The ore processing plant was located on the Heckbach in the valley floor. Today you can only see the old washing piles here.
