Hiking

Kandersteg is a high alpine mountain village in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. Hiking trails such as the difficult Allmenalp and a cable car lead east to Lake Oeschinen. This lake at the foot of the Blüemlisalp massif is part of a popular ski area, as is Sunnbüel in the south-west. In the wooded Blausee nature park in the north lies the Blausee, a small lake with lots of trout that is fed by underground springs. Source: Kandersteg.ch
