The Klostermühle Sornzig was the oldest mill in Sornzig and has existed since the monastery was founded. She most likely only had one meal. Only much later, after the end of production of the upper and middle mill, the "New Monastery Mill" and the bakery that was formerly located next to it were built. It was already a very modern mill with high milling. The last miller Eitner stopped production in 1969.

The monastery mill and the Eidner bakery were in operation from 1912 to 1969. The original monastery mill has existed since the monastery was founded. The new building became necessary because it became apparent that the upper and middle mills were suffering from a lack of water and no longer met the requirements. In 1920 and 1931, respectively, these mills ceased production. It should also be noted that there used to be a compulsory mill and a mill ban. It is therefore possible that the three Sornziger mills were under different rulers.
