One of the sporting highlights in the Black Forest is the north-west ascent to the Kandel from Waldkirch. Here you climb almost 1,000 meters over a distance of 12 kilometers. The asphalt isn't quite as good anymore, but that doesn't bother you so much uphill - with up to 18% it doesn't roll that well here anyway.

Many racing cyclists have discovered the Kandel as the perfect training ground. In winter there is also a small ski area and in summer a popular hiking area. Since the road from Waldkirch is very narrow in places, the number of motorcyclists is limited. Kandel: You don't need to hide from the legendary Alpine climbs!
