The red brick church was built in 1881/82 in neo-Romanesque style. There are cross-shaped recesses in the masonry of the church.
In the sanctuary, a ribbed vault covers the ceiling, which is painted with stars on a blue background, thus emphasizing the importance of the altar. The furnishings date from the time of construction. This includes the altar table, pulpit, pews and gallery. The bell was cast in Laucha in 1882.
