Here, shortly after the canal branches off, you stand on the bridge to the canal embankment and look nicely to the north. The canal forms a power station staircase with seven hydropower plants in order to use the gradient of 109 m to generate electricity, and after a proud 64 km it flows back into the river at Landshut.
