A gut of steep hairpin bends immersed in the woods of Mount Canto. We begin to climb the cobblestones of the historic center of Mapello and arrive to the small village of Fontanella. The first kilometer of ascent (up to the Alpini church) never drops below 10%, then a couple of kilometers more pedaled but with lots of lactic acid in the legs.

Beautiful ascent on a lonely and panoramic road, which alternates steep sections with others that are more pedalable. Suddenly a 20% concrete tear looks you straight in the eye, then you understand why the highlight was created by those thugs from La Popolare Ciclistica.
Finally, we arrive at Fontanella via a wide cobbled path, which can be traveled without problems even by racing bike.
