A visit to the Flugwelt Altenburg - Nobitz is highly recommended. The history of the airfield is also told here.

The Flugwelt Altenburg Nobitz Museum is located directly at Altenburg Airfield. In the immediate vicinity of the runway, the "Flugwelt Altenburg-Nobitz" association, founded in October 2004, opened a museum. Since the opening, the number of exhibits and the quality of the information have been expanded and improved. Valuable information flowed into the show from many visitors who knew the airfield as contemporary witnesses or was the starting point for further research. This helped illuminate various historical sections of the airfield.
