Active non-violence is an inner attitude towards other people. Active non-violence means respecting the life of all people and recognizing the dignity, freedom and personality of each person. This attitude does not change even if the other person does something wrong or has different values and opinions. Active non-violence helps in dealing with another person. It helps in resolving private, social and political conflicts.

This artwork was inaugurated in 2017. The two differently shaped forms (cylinder and cuboid) invite visitors to sit down and engage in conversation. It is an invitation to mindful dialogue as a non-violent means of communication in a city with a history deeply marked by Nazi terror. Another element of Linz's commitment to peace.
