This knight's stone is used to help hikers orientate themselves. There used to be standing water here, the so-called Krottenpfühle. The knight's stone is maintained and kept in order by the Palatinate Forest Association.

Hiking

This is one of over 300 knight's stones of the Palatinate Forest Association. It “lies on the ridge of the Krottenbuckel hill of the same name, which runs out to the northeast [....] between Legelbach and Oselbach. At the foot of the mountain there were small stagnant bodies of water, which were also called Krottenpfühle (Eitelmann 2005, p. 106).
