The mill was founded along the road to Arendonk via Ravels-Eel.

It was built in 1869 to replace a wooden mill that was blown down in 1868.

The windmill was completely restored by the Caers brothers in 1971.

An inscription in the mill states that on December 28, 1925, 1,315 kg of rye was milled in one hour.

The stand from the former wooden mill has been reused in the mill.

The mill is still in regular operation.
