You will encounter grassy slopes and rocky sections, leading to majestic peaks and beautiful lakes. From the summit of Cima della Brignola, you can enjoy views of Monte Mongioie and Lago Raschera. This demanding journey covers 11.3 miles (18.2 km) with a significant elevation gain of 5119 feet (1560 metres), requiring approximately 9 hours and 17 minutes to complete.
This is classified as a hard hike, so you should have very good fitness and alpine experience before attempting it. You will need sure-footedness and sturdy shoes for the varied terrain. The route involves numerous ascents and descents, making it strenuous, but it does not present particular technical difficulties.
The trail is situated within the Marguareis Park area, offering classic alpine scenery. You will pass by Lago Raschera, known for the famous cheese that takes its name from the alpeggio at the foot of Mongioie.
