East of the river lies one of the largest forests in Denmark: Gribskov. In the west, meadows and fields spread out. You can follow the river from Hillerød to behind Solbjerg Engsø. On the way you can climb bird towers and, with a bit of luck, watch sea urchins and osprey hunting. If you arrive shortly before sunset, you can observe the beaver, especially in the spring months.
