In the fall of 2002, the parish of Eberschwang began planning the 1100th anniversary celebrations.
After Mr. Buchinger's initial request that the parish build a model of the baptismal church of the time for the parade, the parish council decided to create something permanent by building a replica of the church as a chapel. At the beginning of November, the right place was found on the edge of the forest in Albertsham.
In cooperation with Franz Buchinger, the archaeologist Wolfgang Klimesch and the planner of the chapel, Alois Doblinger, the planning work for the chapel began immediately.
