The Bramdelle rock cut is the largest and deepest on the Rhenish route in Wuppertal. The difference in height to the upper plateau is about 28 meters. Here, as in other places on the section between Vohwinkel and Nachbarebreck, the cut leads through rocks of the mass limestone. This rock was formed around 370 million years ago by deposits of corals, snails and shells in a shallow tropical sea.
