At Agnew Meadows deer and bears are often spotted. The campground is a good starting point for the many trails in the Sierra Nevada, including the famous long-distance Pacific Crest Trail. In summer season (depending on snow level), you are allowed to get here by car just at certain times since the shuttle is running during the day.
