It stands there small and inconspicuous, on the roadside, the old, abandoned chapel. The first real Karlsfeld church - almost 100 years after the demolition of the chapel - was built from 1899 to 1900 as a chapel and field chapel on Münchner Straße by the couple Anna and Ignaz Ludl. The Ludl residential quarter is now to be built around them.

The first real Karlsfeld church is still preserved: the Ludl Chapel. It was built - almost 100 years after the wayside chapel was demolished - between 1899 and 1900 as a prayer and field chapel on Münchner Straße by the married couple Anna and Ignaz Ludl.

A report from the Feldmoching parish office in 1904 states that "the newly built chapel is recognized as a great blessing by the residents of Karlsfeld and the surrounding area and is used diligently, especially on Sundays and public holidays in the afternoons."
