However, it is not possible to drive it entirely in a loop by car. A central stretch of about 3.5 - 4 km near the southwestern coast (between Le Cannelle and Spiaggia Lunga) is an unpaved, rough, and steeply sloping road, suitable only for walking, mountain biking, or off-road vehicles. For traditional vehicles and road motorcycles, the route must therefore be divided into two main sections starting from the respective inhabited centers.
