In interplay with the new ECB building, the redeveloped shipyard areas, the Deutschherrenbrücke bridge, and the Main riverbank, an impressive park has been created here on a section of the Osthafen with diverse sports facilities, places to stop for refreshments, wildflower meadows, and a sunbathing lawn. Historical references to the wholesale market area with remnants of the harbor railway – but also a memorial to the deportation of Jews in the Third Reich – complete the ensemble. A connecting track between the West and Osthafen has also been preserved here!

The Frankfurt East Port, located on the northern, right bank of the Main in the Frankfurt district of Ostend, is a transshipment point for bulk and general cargo. The port, which was built in 1908 and opened on May 23, 1912 by Mayor Franz Adickes, has a total of four basins and its own port railway.
