Hiking
In summer, many use the area as a lawn - otherwise it is very quiet and idyllic.

Hiking
The Blausteinsee is located north of Eschweiler, in the area of the former open-cast brown coal mine Zukunft-West. A local recreation area was created here through recultivation, with the remaining hole filling with water from 1984-2005. Today the lake is approximately 100 hectares in size and 46m deep and is very popular with bathers, surfers, divers and walkers.

Hiking
Very nice spots on the lake, in the summer but unfortunately too full 🙃
