From Paul do Mar you can walk along the water to Jardim do Mar - just be aware of the tides! The little village of Jardim do Mar is also worth seeing - many small streets and a nice restaurant on the promenade!

This descent or ascent to the statue from the Hotel Jardim Atlantico should really be done once. A good basic level of fitness is an advantage, as are very good hiking boots and drinking water. The small town of Paúl do Mar is definitely worth a visit.
