Dessau gate tower Aken
The Dessauer Torturm is a city gate tower that is part of the historic city fortifications in the town of Aken in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt.

The gate tower is located in the northeast of the old town of Aken (Elbe) on Dessauer Straße. A little further east the street becomes Dessauer Chaussee. The connection to the city on the Mulde gave the name to the city gate and the streets.
