In the middle of the lovingly renovated historic town center, the more than 700-year-old, impressive Franciscan monastery church opens its doors from May to October. The monastery church, the only surviving building of the former imposing monastery complex, provides impressive insights into the architecture of earlier eras. The brick rood screen and the asymmetrical two-aisled hall church are something special for Brandenburg monastery churches. Today, the monastery church is known far beyond the borders of the Uckermark as an important building of North German mendicant gothic and cultural site.

As the only surviving building of the former monastery complex of the Franciscan monks, the monastery church is one of the oldest and most important monuments in the state of Brandenburg. The almost 30 meter high two-aisled hall church provides impressive insights into the architecture of earlier eras.
Every year from the end of April to the beginning of October, the monastery church and monastery square are impressive backdrops for the Angermünde monastery summer.
