It was built to supply water to the Can Borrell farmhouse. Regarding the vegetation, the environment of the swamp is dominated by a Mediterranean oak forest and a Mediterranean white pine forest.

The Pantà de Can Borrell is an old presasituada in the Collserola mountain range, within the municipality of Sant Cugat del Vallès, in the region of Vallès Occidental. The reservoir covers an area of 0.2 hectares. It has a disused dam that collects the waters of a torrent that flows through the Collserola mountain range. [1]
