The Hohe Wand Alpine and Local History Museum is located in the beautiful Wiener Neustadt building that was built in 1926. Inside you can admire interesting exhibits on the history of mining, local wildlife and mountain rescue. There are also changing special exhibitions.

The Wiener Neustädter Haus on the Hohe Wand, built in 1926, was bought by the Hohe Wand municipality in the 1990s to set up a museum. This is how the Alpine and Local History Museum in the Hohe Wand Nature Park was created in a complex process. Here you can see the history of mining, the animal world and mountain rescue. There are also changing special exhibitions.
