Small and inconspicuous, this memorial stone is a reminder of the robbery and murder of Johann Goswin Krackrügge. The only 15 year old was on the way to his grandmother in Schlotheim. He was ambushed, robbed and stabbed.
His father Goswin Krackrügge was a German merchant and participant in the revolution of 1848/49.
