Mountain biking

The pedestrian bridge, which has been idle for over 10 years, will finally be used from 2021, while the Lettiner Straße between Salzmünde and Schiepzig will remain closed to motorists for about 3 years. Reason: Construction of the federal motorway 143. It connects the A 14 in the north with the A 38 in the south. Together with the A 9, these traffic arteries will in future form a double ring around Halle and Leipzig.

Basically a nice route to drive between Lettin and Salzmünde, via Schiepzig. In Schiepzig, the "Blaues Wunder", the pedestrian bridge over the A143 motorway construction site, has slowed things down for some time. There you have at least a nice view of the construction progress and the Saale valley.
