Hiking
Location of Watersportbaan Vlaanderen. Many national and international championships are organized here every year. This water sports course has a very good reputation. The length of the pond is more than 2 km.
Origin of the water puddle? In the sixties, last century, sand was mined here to dump old clay pits in Rivierenland. Due to strong protest from local residents, the sand extraction has been stopped and the flooded well has been given a recreational destination.

Hiking
Hazewinkel Watersportbaan is used for a variety of water sports. It's an ideal training ground for rowers. So be sure to take a moment to admire Hazewinkel's expansive waters. The area is perfect for a walk around this large body of water. Blaasveldbroek and Broek De Naeyer are two other nearby walking destinations.
